Twenty-three students from the Adam Smith Business School (ASBS) and Radboud University took part in the Radboud–Glasgow Summer Course: Economic Analysis for Contemporary Issues and Sustainability in Nijmegen. This was co-organised by Dr Wenya Cheng, Associate Head of Economics (Learning, Teaching & Scholarship), and Radboud University Nijmegen School of Management.

Held at Radboud University’s campus, the course offered a unique opportunity for students to explore economic and sustainability challenges through hands-on engagement with real-world datasets. Lectures were co-taught by Dr Olexiy Kyrychenko (Nijmegen School of Management) and Dr Anthoulla Phella (ASBS), who introduced students to relevant concepts and practical statistical tools.

Afternoons were enriched by a social programme, including a campus tour, a guided walk through the historic city of Nijmegen, and informal networking over drinks and dinner at local cafés and the city beach. The programme concluded with a farewell event, where certificates of attendance were presented to students who completed the course.

The Radboud-Glasgow Summer Course marks a successful step in deepening collaboration between the two institutions, with students highlighting the value of connecting with peers from another university, sharing academic insights and engaging in cross-culture exchange. We look forward to exploring further opportunities to enhance the student experience through international collaboration.
