Winners of the ZIBS Global Corporate Consulting Project 2025 standing for a group photograph with their certificate beside three Adam Smith Business School academic staff

Professor Graeme Roy, acting head of the Adam Smith Business School (ASBS), took charge of the award won by a team of PGT students who participated in a consulting project run by Zhejiang University International Business School (ZIBS) in China.

The month long project involved collaboration with teams from 9 top international business schools—Cambridge Judge Business School, ANU College of Business and Economics, Durham University Business School, ESCP Business School, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, NUS Business School, Politecnico di Milano and Alliance Manchester Business School.

The task was to develop a “go-to-market” strategy for ZERON, a Chinese zero-emission truck manufacturer, in preparation for entry to the European market. The team, coached and mentored by Dr Alvise Favotto, ASBS Deputy Director Internationalisation, had to focus on key aspects such as market regulations, infrastructure, and potential business models for the European market. As part of the challenge, the team visited the company in China, where they presented their recommendations on site and learned valuable insights about Chinese business culture, including its emphasis on speed, efficiency, and ambition.

The ASBS team’s solution won the “Most Innovative Solution” award for their strategic proposal.
