The award is a reflection of his outstanding contributions to all areas of internal medicine, particularly in the field of endocrinology, which have had a significant and lasting impact on the profession.
The Bourgelat Award – Ian Ramsey BVSc PhD DSAM DipECVIM-CA FHEA FRCVS
This year’s Bourgelat Award goes to Ian Ramsey in recognition as one of the leading veterinary specialists both in the UK and internationally. His outstanding contributions to all areas of internal medicine, particularly in the field of endocrinology have had a significant and lasting impact on the profession. Ian is widely regarded as an exceptional lecturer, whose teaching continues to inspire colleagues and students alike. Currently, he is the Professor of Small Animal Medicine at Glasgow University Veterinary School.
Ian will be giving his Bourgelat lecture, ‘The weird and wonderful world of endocrinology’ on 22nd April at 8pm. The lecture will be freely available online and open to the whole profession – more details to follow on the BSAVA website.
