Marwa’s research looks into degradation of the p53 protein as a potential approach to cancer therapy.
Marwa Osman has joined the Chemistry Department at the University of Glasgow as a PhD student within the College of Science and Engineering. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Sudan and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science. Her doctoral research focuses on the degradation of the p53 protein as a potential therapeutic approach to cancer.
The project aims to explore how manipulating p53 degradation pathways could open new avenues for targeted and effective cancer treatments. Marwa is particularly interested in translational research that bridges molecular biology and therapeutic development.
