Research interests

I joined the University of Glasgow as a Research Associate in MRI Physics in the lab of Professor David Porter, at the Imaging Centre of Excellence in April 2018. I previously completed a DPhil in the field of cardiac MRI and a Research Assistantship in ultra-high field MR technology at the University of Oxford. I also have an MSc in Medical Physics from the University of Aberdeen.

My current research interests are in developing powerful, novel techniques for ultra-high field MRI of the brain, which allow disease to be probed at a mechanistic level. In particular, I am involved in the development of spectroscopic techniques to measure metabolic changes in the brain, both locally and in larger regions, and in the use of non-contrast magnetic labelling methods to measure cerebral perfusion.

It is my role to work within our multi-disciplinary research team and with collaborators, providing robust, quantitative MRI methods of investigating disease.
