"Practical problems in primary care teams"
Evening CPD sessions

Evidence of continuing professional development is vital for revalidation, the emphasis being on identifying and addressing learning needs. The University of Glasgow, in conjunction with the West of Scotland Faculty of the Royal College of General Practitioners, has developed a series of evening meetings to enable members of the primary care team to address practical patient management issues and, at the same time, demonstrate learning gained.

Our next event is on Tuesday 18 June 2019:

title "Epilepsy update and other common neurological problems
speaker Professor John Paul Leach (Consultant Neurologist, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and Honorary Professor, University of Glasgow)
chair Professor Frances Mair (Professor of Primary Care Research, University of Glasgow)
venue General Practice and Primary Care (House 2), University of Glasgow, 1 Horselethill Road, G12 9LX
date Tuesday 18 June 2019
7.00 to 9.00pm
details This session will highlight current advice regarding epilepsy diagnosis and management including case scenarios but the speaker will also be happy to address common neurological problems seen in general practice. It would be particularly helpful if participants could email jane.goodfellow@glasgow.ac.uk with cases or issues which they wish to discuss in advance of the meeting so as to enable the session to be as interactive as possible. Attendees are also invited to bring cases with them on the night..
