The SHINE Pilot Study is pleased to announce the inaugural Annual National SHINE Conference at the COSLA Conference Centre in Edinburgh on Wednesday 22nd May 2019.

The theme will be: “Mental health and wellbeing: using evidence to inform effective school practice”. This will be a free event for our members and associates. Invitations will be going out soon to all our SHINE schools with details of the keynote speakers, workshops and opportunities to network with key stakeholders from health research, education and policy makers. The purpose of the day will be to:

  • network with SHINE, our partners and other schools;
  • exchange practice in the use of health and wellbeing data reports to inform whole-school improvements;
  • learn about current health research and the value of evidence informed practice;
  • participate in the SHINE pilot study through a variety of interactive sessions.

SHINE has recruited 88 schools to the Network with schools in 31 of the 32 Local Authorities stretching from Shetland down to the Borders.
