MSc War Studies Class of 2020

One of my favourite things about the War Studies Masters course was the flexibility. As an avid gamer, it’s always been pretty hard to align my interests with my academic career. War Studies’ diverse range of topics let me fuse my gaming and historical passions together and create a dissertation, alongside other coursework, that highly benefited my move into gaming. My unique historical perspective has been of interest to my employers, coupled with the literacy skills I learned throughout my War Studies career. You really can do anything with this degree, so go for it!

James TaubMLitt War Studies Class of 2017

The world of history is a hard one to navigate yourself through. As I look back upon my journey through the field, all of my successes connect back to the experience I was given during my time as a student in the War Studies MLitt program at the University of Glasgow. My instructors gave me the tools to find my own way through academic, as well as public history circles. I was brought into the community of those who study and teach war as an equal and contributing member, which gave me the courage to keep pushing forwards. The instructors as well as my fellow students provided me with a support network in the amazing city of Glasgow, which is hardly matched anywhere else.
