Visiting Researcher: Sean P. Smith

International scholar visits UNESCO RILA March - April 2020
The UNESCO RILA Chair is delighted to welcome Sean P. Smith as he visits the University of Glasgow between 10 March and 8 April 2020. Sean is a third-year PhD candidate at the University of Hong Kong, researching how historical literary and visual discourses impact contemporary perceptions and developmental trajectories in the tourism industry.
Following several fieldwork trips in Myanmar, he is currently interested in explicating the linkages between recreational travel, global migration, and climate change. His publications are listed on Google Scholar.
