Campus Development Vision Shared with Scottish Enterprise

We were delighted to welcome Chris Corden and Mark Morrison from Scottish Enterprise to share our vision for the campus.
We were delighted to welcome Chris Corden and Mark Morrison from Scottish Enterprise to the University of Glasgow campus this week. They were able to visit the previous Western Hospital site allowing us to share with them the vision for the campus development. We illustrated that the vision is not only the creation of new buildings, but a change in the ‘look and feel’ of the entire campus to something that will enable Glasgow to recruit and grow the very best academics and students along with providing a transformative effect on the West End of the city. Our Scottish Enterprise visitors were also briefed on the exciting plans for our Research Hub which will enclose cross-cutting research groups alongside managed incubator space for a significant number of small high growth companies, all under the one roof. This will complement plans for larger commercial space within the Western Site for collocation of industry with academia.
