Participatory Systems Maps: Understanding Complex Challenges Through Collaboration
Participatory Systems Mapping (PSM) brings together diverse stakeholders to develop a shared understanding of complex challenges and identify opportunities for change.
The Systems Transformation team has worked with stakeholders across policy, practice and civil society to develop systems maps focused on flood risk, biodiversity loss and the regeneration of vacant and derelict land. These workshops have led to new collaborations, proposals for further research, and increased use of systems thinking approaches among policymakers.
We are now bringing together insights from multiple maps to identify common barriers, opportunities and leverage points for change, helping to inform more effective action towards a sustainable and thriving Glasgow.
