Listen! Students Leading Staff for Sustainability - A Practice Workshop

On Friday October 1st at 12noon - 1:30pm, the UofG Sustainability in Learning & Teaching Community of Practice invited students, teachers, teaching administrators, leaders, and managers across our campuses to this Practice Workshop, which was led by a group of brilliant student activists with a passion for sustainability.

University staff were invited to come and listen to what our University's students want to say to us - and let them know that we care. And over 60 people attended (staff and students)! Read a blog post from Monique Campbell in the College of Social Sciences here or view the video below!

This Pecha Kucha style event showcased and amplified student voices to motivate, inform, and propel our own commitments to sustainability.

This workshop emerged from the recognition that many of university staff are fortunate to have students and graduates that are activists, experts, and practitioners in sustainability – and it has been these people that have compelled and transformed our own perspectives. All of our students are stakeholders, preparing to inherit the world that we are currently leading. Let’s listen to them. These students connect us, challenge us, and guide us in our teaching in relation to sustainability.
