STEM SPACE - Spatial Reasoning Practitioner Conference
Published: 20 April 2026
Join educators and policy makers for an interactive day focused on how teaching Spatial Reasoning skills can improve learner outcomes.
Spatial Reasoning Practitioner Conference
4 June 2026 - University of Glasgow
The STEM SPACE Project has reached 16 Local Authorities and 100s of primary school classrooms across Scotland to enable 1000s of learners from P4-P7 to develop spatial and non-verbal reasoning skills.
Participation in the programme has shown consistent gains across all learner groups in maths, computational thinking and spatial reasoning skills by employing new methods to teach how to mentally visualise, transform, predict and check using multiple representations. As the project continues to roll out nationally, this summit is an important opportunity for practitioners (and those interested in joining the project) to share insights on how to make the materials work for all learners, teachers and schools.
