Centre for Spatial Reasoning

The Turner Kirk Centre for Spatial Reasoning has secured a bid to host the Spatial Cognition 2026 conference in Glasgow. The team are delighted to announce that the conference will be held at the end of August on-site a the University of Glasgow.

The Spatial Cognition conference seeks submissions from across a range of fields and domains exploring spatial reasoning, from cognitive psychology to geographical and earth sciences to artificial intelligence. Submissions are accepted in the form of full papers, abstracts for oral presentation, posters, workshops, tutorials and symposia. The conference will also have a special track for doctoral students - the Doctoral Colloquium - which will permit student researchers to present their work to the community in a lightning talk and a poster.

The conference runs every two years and was most recently held in Dublin in 2024. The team here at Glasgow are looking forward to welcoming the world to join us for a celebration and exploration of all things relating to spatial cognition in August.
