About

ukvln, about, tip vortices, 250pxMENtOR is an integrated project of the UKVLN, funded by EPSRC. The vision, mission and aims of the project are given below:

Vision and Mission

To develop simulation tools and experimental facilities for rotorcraft research in the UK. Especially, MENtOR aspires to establish UKVLN as a nationally and internationally recognised source of high quality data for tiltrotor aeroelasticity and provide computer codes for flutter studies, sheared within the UKVLN.

Aims

  • Study tiltrotor blade flutter using simulations and experiments
  • Develop facilities to support future rotary wing research
  • Deliver state-of-the-art computer codes for tiltrotor flutter shared within UKVLN
  • To support the development of a new generation of rotary wing experts in the UK
