Promoting Awareness and Respect for Human Rights
This cluster seeks to focus upon judicial and non-judicial strategies for enforcing human rights at international, regional and domestic level. In particular, the cluster will consider the extent to which standard-setting emphasises universality, the interrelationship between law and politics, and the influence of activism in delivery of human rights standards. One important aspect of all of this is raising citizen/NGO awareness through education and training initiatives.
