Developing strategic energy partnership between countries and regions

• We hosted the Joint ForumLower Saxony-Scotland organised by Leuphana University Lüneburg together with the European Centre for Advanced Studies (ECAS) and UofG. It led to ECAS’ very first White Paper: Energizing Democratic Partnerships – Securing Electricity from Democratic Friends.

Advising/co-developing international energy standards

• We continue to support the development of the United Nations Framework Classification for Resources and its application to renewable energy and geothermal energy:
  • Interest in UN Framework Classification for Resources heats up in geothermal community | UNECE  
  • Queensland, Australia, is first jurisdiction to legislate application of the United Nations Framework Classification for Resources to Geothermal energy | UNECE

Membership to international organisations

• We are active members of the European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC), a non-profit international organisation founded in 1998 to promote the European geothermal industry and enable its development both in Europe and worldwide, by shaping policy, improving business condition, and driving more research and development.
