Myography and Imaging CoRE Facility

About Us

This CoRE facility comprises multiple wire and pressure myograph systems, allowing us to investigate both vascular reactivity and structure. The CoRE also has several microscopes, including live cell and laser capture microdissection microscopes. Using these imaging techniques, we can investigate multiple aspects of the vasculature such as cell morphology, co-localisation, RNA analysis and much more.

Here at the CoRE Myography and Imaging facility we will work with you to design a protocol that meets your requirements, and provide expert technical support throughout your study. We can also provide technical and data analysis training as required.

MYOCORE

At MYOCORE, we offer tailored myography solutions, within a research focussed facility. You can choose to conduct your work independently by renting our specialist equipment, or allow our team of highly skilled staff to develop your protocols and deliver your analysed data. We will work alongside you to design a protocol that meets your requirements, provide expert technical support throughout your study, and work to high standards to ensure your data is of the highest quality. We can also provide technical and data analysis training as required.

Potential studies which can be conducted within MYOCORE include:

  • Vascular reactivity
  • Vascular structure
  • Vascular mechanics
  • Drug safety and efficacy

Please note: MYOCORE is now charging for its use. If you are writing a new grant or conducting any student projects (hons – PhD), get in touch with Laura or Wendy today to discuss costing.

Contact us by email cams-ins-myocoreinfo@glasgow.ac.uk to discuss how we can incorporate these techniques, and help add invaluable data to your study.
