Eirini (Greece) 2017-2019

"The IMAESC programme is one of the best choices I have ever made. I am challenged in ways I never thought possible, I met fascinating people and together, we have been exploring Adult Education in the most unconventional ways. The consortium consists of professionals with extensive experience in the field of Adult Education and the unique combination of theory and practice, fosters a holistic educational approach. Get ready for an unforgettable learning journey!"

Kelly (UK) 2017-2019

Pursuing a path that stimulated my passion for different cultures, learning and social change, I spent several years volunteering and working in community education, youth work and international development. I vividly remember searching for ‘next step’ options whilst volunteering in Swaziland and discovering the aptly named IMAESC programme; I did not apply for any other course. If this did not work out for me, I was going to continue doing adult education for social change in different ways. I can say now that after just a few months on the course, I already feel a growing confidence in myself and the inspiring community of peers I find myself working, learning and living life with. Not yet at the stage to know my next ‘next step’, I can at least encourage others considering this course to go for it! Living and learning with people from all over the world in 3 different countries is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for personal and professional growth. And it’s fun!

Auburn (USA) 2017-2019

“One of the greatest assets of this program is the chance to interact with such a diverse, intelligent, experienced group of classmates from around the world. They add valuable layers to our class discussions and have challenged and expanded my personal world view in so many ways. My classmates are incredibly generous and patient in sharing their cultures, traditions, ideas, and friendship both inside and outside of the classroom. I can’t think of another situation where I would have the chance to interact with so many different people who share a common passion for changing the world. This social and professional bond is an invaluable result of participating in the IMAESC program, and I can’t wait to watch their impact on the world for years to come.”

Mary (USA) 2016-2018

"The IMAESC program is one of the most significant professional and personal experiences I have been a part of.  As the first cohort of IMAESC, I am pleased with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study and travel.  Even more impressive is the ‘world’ that is represented in our classroom experiences with a cohort representing 18 different countries.   This educational experience goes above and beyond a traditional setting with  each and every day representing an education outside the norm of a classroom and textbooks.   I feel very blessed to be a part of it and look forward to using my degree to further social change in my community".
