Research title: Towards transformative action: using literature in human rights education with young people

Research Summary

Current Research

I am particularly interested in fostering intergenerational solidarity through engaging with children's literature.

My PhD research project is focused on using children's literature for human rights education using a pedagogy of love. It draws on critical pedagogy, critical literacy, and human rights education.

The research involved working with children and their families. It was influenced by intergenerational and family learning and used participatory, creative and blended online/offline approaches.
