Research title: RESEARCH-INFORMED TEACHING IN VIETNAMESE HIGHER EDUCATION
Research summary
The purpose of my PhD study is to investigate the relationship between the two major functions of Vietnamese universities, research and teaching, with two main aims. Firstly, the researcher investigates Vietnamese university lecturers’ perceptions and practices of the research-teaching nexus in Vietnamese research-intensive universities. This study seeks to understand how Vietnamese lecturers think, make sense of, and perform the research-teaching nexus in their daily work. Secondly, the research also examines which factors and to what extent these factors facilitate or hinder Vietnamese lecturers’ integration of their research and teaching activities.
