Research title: An Investigation Into The Educational Inclusion of Learners with Visual Impairments in Mainstream Settings in Malaysia
Research summary
My research explores the implementation of inclusive education for students with visual impairment (SWVI) in Malaysia. Guided by the Curriculum Framework for Children and Young People with Visual Impairment and an ecological perspective, this research explores how these arrangements shape what inclusive education means in practice for SWVI and how it is experienced by them, their teachers, school leaders and parents/caregivers. This study uses a qualitative multiple-case study approach, drawing on the interviews and observations across three different schools in Malaysia.
