Research title: Paradigm shift in Chinese English teaching: exploring the development of ELF-oriented teaching paradigm and its application in Chinese English teacher education context

Research Summary

Research Summary

In general, my research interest is located in English language education in the Chinese context.

Before joining the PhD program at the University of Glasgow, I was a TESOL student at King's College London, and I investigated Chinese pre-service teachers' attitudes towards ELF(English as a lingua franca) concept and their ELF awareness in my PGT study.

Currently, I am interested in English language education policy in China. I plan to investigate Chinese in-service and pre-service teachers' knowledge about the English language education policy changes, as well as their attitudes towards policy changes in my PhD study.
