Research title: Entrepreneurialism And Engagement in British and German Higher Education Systems: Regional Developmental Roles and Sector Realities through a Neo-Institutionalist and Comparative Lens

Research Summary

Developed in relation to third mission policy discourse, entrepreneurial and engaged university models imply several roles for higher education institutions. Focusing on entrepreneurialism and engagement for social and economic impact creation, my research study aims to provide an understading over the regional developmental roles attached to higher education and especially how HEIs navigate these roles in accordance with organisational and individual interests; system-level and field-level dependencies that signify sector realities. The study overall draws a picture of these higher education models for the sake of regional development through their local/organisational interpretations.
