Event - Launch of the £77million Scottish Universities Life Sciences Alliance

The Scottish Universities Life Sciences Alliance is a £77million project aimed at transforming biology and life science research in Scotland.

The Universities of Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, St Andrews and Strathclyde are to pool their research excellence to attract new academic staff to strengthen this critical research area, key to the health and wealth of Scotland.

An investment of £50 million from the universities and £27 million from the Scottish Funding Council will, over five years, generate leading edge research in the fields of cell biology, sytems biology, translational biology.
