Glasgow City Coucil offer a Christmas tree recycling service for residents, at three different venues across the city

Glasgow residents can go to three venues across Glasgow toᅠrecycleᅠold Christmas trees after the festivities.

You can take your festive fir to Pollok Country Park, Kelvingrove Park or Alexandra Park where Land Services staff will ensure that it is disposed of in an environmentally-friendly fashion.

A special shredder transforms the trees into eco-friendly bark chippings, which can be used in a variety of ways to resurface paths and woodland walks.

A spokesperson said that the City Council has provided this service for a number of years, and more and more people are opting to dispose of their trees in this way, reducing the need for landfill sites.

Trees can be recycled from Thursday, January 6 at the Riverside Car Park, Pollok Country Park; Kelvingrove Park (depot), Kelvinway, and Alexandra Golf Course Car Park. ᅠ ᅠ
