Consultation on draft strategies for Learning and Teaching, and Research

Two key strands within the Strategic Plan are the Learning and Teaching and Research strategies, and consultaiton on these strategies is now underway

The Principal's recent message* to all staff advised of plans to engage the University community in the preparation of our Strategic Plan for 2006-10. Two key strands within the Strategic Plan are the Learning & Teaching and Research strategies.

We are pleased to announce that consultation on draft strategies for Learning & Teaching and Research is underway. Meetings are taking place over the next few weeks with Faculties, with AIMS and with student representatives. In addition, a web-based consultation is now open, and can be accessed on the Planning Services website atStrategies There you will be able to access the draft strategy documents and respond to questionnaires on each of the strategies as well as the interactions between them. The consultation period will close on 23 December.

We very much hope that you will take the opportunity to contribute to the development of the Learning & Teaching and Research Strategies, which aim to improve further our academic excellence, to make the University more international in terms of its research and student profile, and to make Glasgow one of the UK's leading postgraduate Universities.
