Glasgow University Media Week

Published: 4 March 2003

Monday 3 - Friday 7 March 2003

Organised by the Students Representative Council (SRC), this increasingly popular event sees an interesting and varied selection of media experts gathering at the University to talk about their careers and leave themselves wide open to all sorts of probing questions from the student audience.

Making the news himself was John McCormick, Controller of BBC Scotland and Honorary Graduate of the University who spoke to students yesterday morning. A few hours later, he was advised that he had been elected as Fellow of The Royal Society of Edinburgh along with several other members of the University.

The week will feature, among others, the University Rector, Greg Hemphill, Leslie Riddoch (BBC Scotland) and Hannah McGill (Features Writer and Film Critic at The Herald).
