Hunterian Art Gallery: temporary closure

The Hunterian Art Gallery will be closed to the public from Thursday 27 March 2003 and will re-open on Saturday 10 May 2003.

The Hunterian Art Gallery will be closed to the public from Thursday 27 March 2003 and will re-open on Saturday 10 May 2003.

During this period, alterations will be made to the entrance and foyer areas, which will improve access to the Gallery, enlarge the current shop section and provide a new caf←. At the same time, work on the Whistler 2003 exhibitions will be undertaken.

People wishing to consult the collections in the Print Room, should make appointments as before.

When the Gallery re-opens on 10 May, visitors will be able to see the Intimate Friends: Scottish Colourists at the University of Glasgow exhibition and the Mackintosh House. The new Gallery caf← and shop will also be open.

The Old Master picture collection and the Whistler 2003 exhibitions will open to the public on 21 June.
