Dear student,

From 15th October 2025, the University will no longer support the use of the Moodle app. This will not impact your access to Moodle; it is only the mobile app which we will not support.

The Moodle app is not owned by the University, so we were not able to update it to allow you to access things like MyGrades, or key accessibility features like our accessibility tool and the alternative formats tool.

This means that from 15th October 2025, you will need to use a browser on your phone, like Safari or Chrome, and access Moodle as you would any other website. 

To create an app-like experience, you can add a browser bookmark to your phone home screen which will open Moodle in your browser. You can find instructions on the University Moodle website.

We are committed to continually improving and enhancing your digital experience with us at the University, and this change to remove an unsupported product will allow everyone to access Moodle without issue.
