Discretionary and Childcare Funds

The Discretionary & Childcare Funds are available to provide support towards the living costs of eligible UK students during their studies.

Emergency Hardship Fund

The Emergency Hardship Fund is an emergency fund for EU and International students experiencing financial difficulty.

Student Awards Agency for Scotland Part-Time Fee Grant (PTFG)#

The PTFG is administered by SAAS (Student Awards Agency for Scotland) and provides help towards the cost of tuition fees for part-time Undergraduate students.

Dental Student Support Grant (DSSG)

Dental students at UofG who started in 2017-18 or later can apply for a grant of £4,000 a year from 2nd year onwards to help with the cost of their studies.

Rent Guarantor Scheme

The Scheme seeks to help students secure accommodation if a UK Rent Guarantor can't be found. UofG will act as Rent Guarantor for ≤50 students per year living in Private or Short Assured accommodation.

University Laptop Loan Scheme

UofG students can request to use a laptop on a long-term loan basis from the University.

Enhanced Bursary for Dental Students

The Scottish Government are providing bursary support to UK, EU and International BDS students who are repeating a year of studies in 2021/22 due to COVID-19.
