The Scottish Event Campus (SEC)

  • The SEC is in the West End of Glasgow, on the banks of the River Clyde.
  • Once you reach the main SEC entrance, the exam hall is another ~3 minutes away on foot, at the far end of the main concourse.

Travel

  • Walking directions from the University Library (approx. 30 minutes)
  • Free OVO / nextbike membership for UofG students
  • Young Persons’ (Under 22s) Free Bus Travel Scheme (register for your travel card in advance)
  • Public transport journey planner (times will vary according to your preferred method, starting place, and route - use this journey planner for more details)
    • Several bus options are available throughout the day via the Traveline Scotland journey planner linked above.
    • We recommend that you explore options at multiple departure times in order to identify the simplest, most direct route (e.g. the fastest route may involve a bus to the city centre and then another bus back to the venue, whereas you may prefer a slightly later / longer single bus with no changes which is simpler).
    • Departing from the University gate on Dumbarton Road usually produces the most convenient search results.
    • Other students may be planning to make the same journey from campus, so travel early wherever possible to minimise the impact of crowds.
