Central Scotland Technical Conference

The University of Glasgow is pleased to announce the inaugural Central Scotland Technical Conference will take place on Tuesday 6th June 2023 at the Hunter Halls.
The Technician Commitment Steering Group is pleased to announce that the University of Glasgow in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh will be holding a joint Technical Conference on Tuesday 6th June 2023, from 10.00am – 3.30pm at the Hunter Halls with registration starting at 9am on the day. This is a free event open to all technical staff across the University of Glasgow and Edinburgh. In addition, representatives from other Universities in central Scotland will be in attendance.
The programme will consist of excellent keynote speakers, interactive workshops and updates on the progress and plans to support technical staff within the University.
We will also be running a Technician Poster Competition, where you can share your unique technical work experience and be in with the chance to win high street vouchers (competition and judging will take place at the Conference).
Details about the Poster competition will be sent out shortly and online registration will open in early May. Keep an eye on your inbox as tickets will be on a first come first served basis.
Lunch will also be provided on the day. If you do not typically work on a Tuesday, you can still attend the event and you may wish to discuss alternative working arrangements with your line manager.
