WELLCOME INSTITUTIONAL STRATEGIC SUPPORT FUND SECONDMENTS 

This call is open to: G8, G7, G6 Research and Teaching Job Family (including all academic career tracks), Technical and Specialist, and PhD students.

This fund is supported by the Wellcome Institutional Strategic Support Fund, and is to provide researchers with an opportunity to visit an academic lab or industrial partner, and then to return to MVLS and embed your learning. Researchers can apply for a maximum of £10,000.

Visits may involve, but are not limited to:

o             Learning a technique which you can bring back to Glasgow

o             Visit to industrial partner to develop a project

o             Establishment of a new collaboration, with a view to writing a grant/fellowship application

Visits may be up to 6 months’ duration (or multiple smaller visits if you can justify e.g. for family reasons), and you can visit an academic lab or industrial partner, worldwide (including the UK). Please allow enough lead time when determining the proposed dates of your secondment to allow for appropriate forward planning and engagement with College HR to arrange any contractual or visa terms that may be required. Secondments for this call must start between 1st November 2019 and the 1st February 2020.
