Get involved with a peer learning programme

Whether you’re looking for support with your studies or want to become a peer mentor or PAL leader yourself, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved across the University of Glasgow.

Peer learning is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and most Schools or Colleges offer tailored schemes designed around your subject area and academic needs.

Want to Be a Peer Leader or Mentor?

We’re always looking for motivated students to join our peer learning community. You don’t need to be an expert on your subject, just willing to support others, build skills and share your experience.

What’s Involved?

  • 3-hour training delivered by the Peer Learning Team
  • Ongoing support and community through our Teams space
  • Invitations to peer learning meetups and workshops
  • Feedback and development opportunities
  • Recognition on your HEAR transcript (Higher Education Achievement Report)

Peer mentors and PAL leaders work in different ways, but both play a key role in helping students feel supported and succeed at UofG. Learn more about the difference between roles → 'What is Peer Learning'
