Training and workshops

Innovation 101

Innovation & Enterprise 101 aims to equip both staff and students with the foundational skills and knowledge to effectively create impact from their research by developing products and services that will have societal benefit via commercial licensing, spin-out company formation and the creation of social enterprises.

No prior knowledge is required, nor do you need a specific project in mind.

IP Seminars

Many potential industrial partners and investors will only collaborate or provide funding for projects with appropriate IP protection in place. This means IP is of enormous and growing importance for generating impact. This series is led by external patent attorney professionals and focuses on the practical skills of managing IP. We particualrly welcome those who have not engaged with the IP&C team before.

RISE@UofG

RISE@UofG provides a platform for staff and post-graduate students to connect with experienced founders within both the staff and the alumni communities for advice, learning, mentorship, potential funding sources, and other assistance during their company building journey.

Women Researchers Enterprise Network (WREN)

WREN wants to be at the forefront of championing women-led research and innovation to ensure the potential for real-life societal impacts can be fully realised. Women make up only 30% of leadership roles in the UK: WREN will be a stepping stone towards empowering women to help create a more equal society.
