Output Selection Tool (Enlighten)

The Output Selection Tool (Enlighten) provides researchers with the opportunity to select their outputs for use in the University's Interim Research Reviews. Researchers can select up to six outputs listed in their post-2013 Enlighten record that they consider to be world-leading (4* in REF2014) or internationally excellent (3* in REF2014) in terms of originality, significance and rigour.

An explanation of how outputs will be used in the Interim Research Reviews will be provided on the Interim Research Reviews page

The Output Selection Tool also enables researchers to check the Open Access eligibility of their outputs. More information on the REF Open Access rules and how to ensure relevant outputs are eligible can be found on the REF Open Access page.

The College of MVLS will be adopting an alternative approach to selecting outputs for assessment in the Interim Research Reviews that does not involve the use of the Output Selection Tool.
