Certification and Awards
Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Awarding Body grant a certificate of recognition to Organisations that demonstrate they meet the objective requirements of this standard.
The Standard is a compilation of a series of standards under 5 Dimensions which are:
• Dimension 1 – Leadership and Organisation
• Dimension 2 – Strategy & Policy
• Dimension 3 – People
• Dimension 4 – Processes and Systems (Sourcing & Post-Contract Management)
• Dimension 5 – Performance Management
The University of Glasgow, led by Procurement Office successfully achieved CIPS Corporate Certification Standard award in 2015. At that time, the University was the first in the Russell Group of Universities and the only one in Europe and second globally to hold this level of accreditation in the Higher Education sector. The CIPS Corporate Certification is valid for two years.
GO Awards
The Scottish Government Opportunities (GO) Excellence in Public Procurement Awards and the UK National GO Awards recognise best practice procurement and allow public, third and private sector organisations to benchmark themselves against their peers from across Great Britain.
