Learning & Teaching Conference

Following our save-the-date announcement earlier in the year, registration is now open for the 14th Annual University of Glasgow Learning & Teaching Conference: ’Transforming Teaching & Taking Stock’.

This one-day event will take place on Friday 18 June, featuring a selection of 24 short presentations, 6 full-length talks, 3 workshops, and a poster session, showcasing the excellent work taking place across the whole university.

We have decided to focus this year on celebrating our institutional successes through this challenging and transitional time, and on sharing practice across the University. Plenary timeslots across the course of the day will allow you to hear from the Principal and the Vice Principal for Learning & Teaching, who will set the scene for the conference and introduce the new Learning & Teaching Strategy, as well as from the Deans of Learning & Teaching from each College, who will hold a joint panel session with an opportunity for Q&A.

We aim to run this year’s conference on a dedicated events platform, designed to allow a greater opportunity for networking and informal conversations between sessions. We also hope to offer a number of informal satellite events focused on learning and teaching in the days leading up to the event. These will give you a chance to familiarise yourself with the environment, as well as to catch up with colleagues you may not have seen as much this year as in typical years. More details on these will be publicised on the conference website, as well as by email to registrants.

Register for the conference by Friday 11 June at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/154829127087

We hope to see you there at what will be a welcome opportunity at the end of this challenging and transformational year to meet colleagues, to take stock of where we have been, and to celebrate our collective achievements as this academic year draws to a close.

With best wishes
