Director of Planning and Deputy Secretary Appointed

Uzma Kahn, currently Deputy Director for Economic Policy at the Scottish Government, to take up role
Uzma Kahn, currently Deputy Director for Economic Policy at the Scottish Government, has been appointed Director of Planning and Deputy Secretary at the University of Glasgow.
David Duncan, COO and University Secretary, said: “We are delighted that Uzma will be taking up this vital role at the University. Her expertise and insight will be invaluable to us as we plan an ambitious future in an uncertain environment. I very much look forward to welcoming Uzma and working with her."

Uzma studied Economics at the University of Glasgow and has an MSc in Business Economics from the University of Strathclyde. She has worked for the Scottish Government in a range of roles over the past 20 years. Uzma will take up her position at UofG in the autumn.
