An online seminar by the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR)

12 May 2020
3.00-4.00pm (London time)

The Director of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) will outline the prospects for the UK and world economy in light of the Covid-19 crisis, at this online seminar. Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli, Principal and Vice Chancellor of the University of Glasgow, will introduce this event.

The Business School's Economics subject has recently formed a strategic partnership with NIESR.

The analysis will be suitable for students and academic staff interested in understanding the scale of the economic crisis we face.

(NIESR) was established in 1938 and is the country’s pre-eminent independent academic research institute normally working out of its Westminster offices, but currently in virtual space. The Institute’s May 2020 Review will be published by Cambridge University Press on 29th April.

500 places are available for this seminar and you can register via Eventbrite.
