A celebration of researchers who have promoted collegiality and contributed to a positive research culture

Good research thrives in an environment in which colleagues support each other to succeed. The University of Glasgow Research Culture Awards were launched in 2019 to recognise and celebrate activities which promote collegiality and contribute to a positive research culture at the University.

This year's winners are:

  • Caroline Guachotte-Lindsay for championing diversity in STEM and supporting Early Career Researchers to develop their careers;
  • Muhammad Imran for displaying selfless leadership with a collaborative approach, exerting enormous effort to motivate and support colleagues, especially ECRs;
  • John Davies for using his personal research to facilitate the research of others from PGRs to senior colleagues across the University;
  • PGR@Home - led by Joanna Royle, an innovative, open-access response to the pandemic, to support ECRs with a structured programme of personal and professional development during lockdown.
