The Students' Representative Council Autumn Election nominations now open. All current UofG students are eligible to stand, and no prior experience is required. Nominations close 4pm on Friday 30 September.

Getting involved with the Students' Representative  Council is a fantastic experience. It gives you the opportunity to make positive change for students, gain transferable skills and make new friends along the way. Your time on the Council will also be recognised on your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR). 

The Council of 47 students is the representative body for the student population at the University of Glasgow. Council members represent on a broad range of committees across the University, and work to take forward the views of students throughout the year.

Eligibility

All current students at the University of Glasgow are eligible to stand. No prior experience is required. 

How to put yourself forward as a candidate

  1. View the list of vacant positions
  2. Download a nomination pack, or pick one up at the SRC Welcome Point in The McIntyre Building
  3. Return the completed nomination pack to the SRC Welcome Point by 4pm on Friday 30 September 

The election will take place on Thursday 13 October, with results announced at 6.30pm that evening.
