Holyrood reception for FemEng in Rwanda

The Scottish Parliament is hosting a reception to celebrate the success of FemEng's first series of workshops in Rwanda. Female engineering students from UofG and the University of Rwanda gave practical workshops and STEM careers advice to more than 500 young girls in June.

Female engineering students from UofG and the University of Rwanda gave practical workshops and STEM careers advice to more than 500 young girls in June.

Sponsored by Sandra White MSP (Kelvin), the event will see the UofG team present a breakdown of the project so far with photos, videos, and copies of their report. 

The reception is on Wednesday 28 September, 6-8pm, in the Garden Lobby of Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh. Attendance is free and open to all, just register via Eventbrite at the link below. 

In their latest blog post the team are looking to the future: "Given the extent of positive feedback received before, during and after our visit to Kigali, it is clear that our mission is a sound one and that it serves a real purpose...With a year’s experience under our belts, we are hopeful that next year holds amazing potential to outshine these achievements."
