UofG at Cairo reception

The University of Glasgow has co-hosted a Study in Scotland reception in Cairo marking a first in Egypt, where interest in Scotland as a study destination has soared.

On Monday 16 March, the University of Glasgow hosted a Study in Scotland reception in Cairo, writes Katy Scott, International Officer.

The event was hosted jointly with the University of Aberdeen and Kaplan International Colleges, and marked a first in Egypt, where interest in Scotland as a study destination has soared in recent months. 

Attendees included key players from the education scene in Egypt, including local university internationalisation teams, school counsellors and educational agents.  The event was deemed a success by all those who attended and the format will be rolled out across the Middle East in the forthcoming months.
