The second University of Glasgow TEDx conference took place this weekend (7 March) and a host of speakers take part addressing a wide range of subjects.

A 100 strong audience heard talks from 12 speakers on subjects including asteroids and space debris, re-appropriating public space with interactive digital art, the value of self reflection, the search for the origins of mass and the ending the stigma experienced by people with mental health problems.

TED is a non-profit organisation committed to spreading ideas, usually in the form of powerful talks. TEDx allows for enthusiastic individuals to join together to host conferences to promote the TED motto of ‘ideas worth spreading’ within local communities.

The event was organised by a dedicated team of student volunteers from the University of Glasgow.
