Success at Scothot for UofG catering assistant

A catering assistant at the University of Glasgow, has won awards for a wedding cake and Harry Potter cake she created.
Lauren Docherty, catering assistant at the University of Glasgow, scooped a bronze and silver medal for her cake creations at Scothot.
Launched in 1973, ScotHot is Scotland’s largest hospitality, tourism and catering show which took place at the SECC on 4 and 5 March 2015.
Lauren was awarded a silver medal for her wedding cake decoration and a bronze medal for a Harry Potter themed cake, possibly inspired by our own University building!
Ellen Thompson of Hospitality Services said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Lauren's first attempt in a national competition.”
