Young Investigators Symposium

Published: 3 August 2015

Come and hear about the latest molecular parasitology research from the best of the field’s emerging group leaders.

Glasgow is hosting the 3rd Young Investigators Symposium - an international symposium featuring talks from young and upcoming researchers in parasitology and immunology.

This biennial event brings together a small group of parasitologists at the early stage of their careers, and provides an opportunity for them to present their work. We seek to encourage the next generation of parasitologists through open discussion, sharing observations and insights, and by creating sustainable collaborations. It is an opportunity for participants to network with scientists from the Wellcome Trust Centre for Molecular Parasitology, as well as an opportunity for scientists from the Centre and elsewhere in the UK, to learn more about the most recent and innovative developments in parasitology internationally.

Keynote speaker: Geoff McFadden
Seminar title: "Drug resistance in malaria parasites: not as smart as we thought they were."

Registration is free but mandatory, places are limited.
