Transforming Curricula
Transforming Curricula
The purpose of the Transforming Curricula Workstream is to lead on the implementation of the transforming curricula elements of the Learning & Teaching Strategy. This involves: identifying existing good practice in programmatic approaches, inclusive curricula, work-related learning and inter-disciplinary learning; stimulating and where appropriate commissioning new work; championing and facilitating sharing of good practice; and ensuring that the values in the strategy underpin curricula transformation.
Transforming Curricula Workstream Objectives
1. Programme Archetype Review
Central to curricular transformation is finding space in the curriculum. Every degree programme at UofG has necessary components, but all have some aspects of 'space' at some point in the student journey. The aim is to reduce the wide variety of programme structures that exist throughout UofG to a small number of model structures that showcase the 'space' alongside the necessary components.
2. Interdisciplinary Learning - Projects
Explore and propose a way forward regarding Interdisciplinary Learning Projects (ILP's) at UofG. In collaboration with staff, students & employers creating a framework and subsequently designing and developing processes and resources to support this.
3. Interdisciplinary Learning - Curriculum for Life
In consultation with staff, students and employers, and based on the Common Core model, we will create a vision for the Curriculum for Life at UofG.
