Treat ALL unsolicited email with suspicion, whether or not the sender appears to be someone you trust. The University will NEVER ask you for your details via email. If you're not sure whether it's safe to open an email or attachment, contact the UofG Helpdesk.

Student responsibilities
Your student email is one of the main ways the University will communicate with you.
It is your responsibility to:
- Check your inbox regularly for important updates, eg exam results, library reminders
- Use your student email for all email correspondence with the University, eg teaching staff, services
Staff responsibilities
As UofG staff, you are required to:
Mailing lists (staff only)
- University of Glasgow Email lists - email lists with Sympa
- Internal management email lists - access on campus
- CLASS service - allows you to email all students or selected groups of students
